Dave your no looser.
Thanks Chuck. But, what am I no looser than? I guess you're trying to say that I'm no loser. Man! I really shouldn't be talking like that. You're like the best blogger I know being the first one to actually post on my site. So, what do you think? Pretty simple so far.
Don't I get an answer to what you think about communion?
Yea i guess. well I have not really thought that through but just off the top i say; Jesus and God used all throught the Bible bread and wine as terms of importance. God gave bread from heaven (manna) and used wine as a prized item , making references of the goodness of wine, God had as an offering, a grain offering, Jesus feed the multitudes with bread, He calls himself the bread of life, and well there are many other references to bread and wine as important symbols. finally the last supper Jesus wsed bread and wine and made them holy. so well in africa in with a tribe that has no bread or wine Perhaps a food that represents life and a drink that also has a very high place in their culture could be used, but only if the items were taught first in a way that the tribe can relate them to Christ as the bread of life and we must eat his flesh and drink his blood (bread and wine in communion) to be appropiate subsitutes and there by consecrate them to be holy food and drink in honor of Jesus Christ. hows that? oh and as far as wine vs grape juice i say wine.
Dave, you are a loser. Just kidding. Glad you've joined the blogosphere. I'll try to brew some thoughts for your post on communion later.
Watch yourself bonesaw! I may be a loser, but I can still beat the crap out of your high and mighty seminarian butt! ;o)
