Redemption

Welcome to the trial,
Thus it all begins.
Tongues of brazen fire,
Laced with golden sins.
Sins of great desire,
The compass ever spins.
Losing all direction,
It ends where it begins.

A cant of all the demons,
A marriage made in Hell.
A union of the broken,
Imprisoned by its spell.
Brackish tears now fallen,
In vain its story tell.
Portend of death’s attraction,
With a pardon hard to sell.

A love that’s so clandestine,
Whispered before all days.
Unhinging death as master,
But forsaken in all ways.
Blood becomes the castor,
As the latter takes the place.
Printing grace unbidden,
On Adam’s fallen race.
